PrE-Lert™ Messaging - Early Fault Detection and Alert System - This is a fully automated early fault detection and notification system (available with Prediction 2000 and 1420 [formerly 1420 Gold PolaProof]). Your Prediction 2000 and 1420 will automatically communicate a problem to our service center via high speed Internet! In many cases, our systems can detect a potential problem well before failure thus saving you precious time in maintaining your critical production schedules. Here is how it works.

1. Latran's latest software (1.41 or greater) and Prediction system manager workstations come complete with all the tools necessary to tie directly to your corporate Internet mail server system.

2. The Prediction system monitors its performance and logs daily events. Prediction systems are equipped with "smart routines" which will make attempts to resolve system failures without the need for user intervention. All such events are recorded, including user manual corrective action.

3. Whenever a number of issues, events, measured values or critical system tolerances exceed pre-determined levels, our Prediction Systems PrE-Lert™ technology will AUTOMATICALLY email a call for help directly to our Technical Support Center located in Bedford, MA.

4. The PrE-Lert™ message is accompanied by all of the system information required for our Technical Specialists to evaluate system performance and PROACTIVELY contact our valued customers to take corrective action. In many situations, preventive action can be accomplished prior to system failures or before our customers even know there is a problem!

5. PrE-Lert™ technology can also be set up to allow immediate paging of customer personnel whenever the Prediction system requires user attention. Such things as paper or media low conditions will automatically trigger a page to on call staff in order to guarantee continuous proofing without interruption.
