Prediction 2000/1420 Service Agreements

Premium Care Service
When purchasing a Premium Care Service Agreeement you will receive Priority Technical Phone Support Monday through Friday 8AM – 11PM Eastern Standard Time staffed by certified Latran Technologies(Latran) engineers. Latran will provide on-site emergency service Monday through Friday 8AM – 5PM Eastern time. All necessary parts will be shipped overnight at no additional cost. All contract customers will receive software and hardware performance /reliability retrofits on a priority basis.

Shared Care Service Agreement
The Shared Care Service Agreement service option has been developed for larger print shops that include in house engineers or technicians that can service the machine. It will be necessary for your organization to send a designated engineer/technician to attend 4 days (3 days for 1420)of service training. This will enable you to have a fast and cost effective method to support your own equipment. You will receive priority technical phone support Monday through Friday 8AM – 11PM Eastern time staffed by certified Latran engineers. These engineers will answer any questions and will act as a resource to guide you through any necessary repairs. Any parts required for a successful repair as determined by our Technical Phone Support will be provided free of charge. If you require Latran to visit the site, it will be charge at a discounted rate. All contract customers receive software and hardware performance/reliability retrofits required on a priority basis.

Shared Care End User Service Training
A class will provide the end user with the knowledge of “how to” repair all hardware. The necessary techniques and service documentation are included in the price of training. The customer is responsible for all travel expenses associated with the Training class.

Prediction 2000/1420 Service Options

Installation
The first day of the installation is included with the purchase price of the Prediction 2000/1420 System. This will include set up of the machine and review of the basic features.

Extended Prediction Training - (at initial installation)
Application training and support is available on a per day basis at the time of install at a discounted rate. A certified Latran engineer will train you on the Harlequin software and work with you to calibrate your machine and adjust color. Latran has created a document to identify what the customer can expect during this training session. This document will also identify the individuals and the time frame needed for their availability. Latran will work with the customer on selecting the appropriate paper stock. They will review the appropriate focus and the power levels for each color. Latran will establish the proper color calibration and dot gain for the customer supplied image for each line screen. This is a hands on training session and will require the trainee to assist in this process. We will train you on how to develop additional page set ups for your paper stock, line screen preferences, and desired spot colors.

Prediction Training - (after initial installation)
The fee for Application training/support will increase after the initial install. Latran will return to the site and train you on the Harlequin software and work with your designated operators to calibrate your machine and adjust color. The trainer will work with the customer on selecting the appropriate paper stock. They will review the appropriate focus and the power levels for each color. Latran will establish the proper color calibration and dot gain for the customer supplied image for each line screen. This is a hands on training session and will require the individuals being trained to assist in the process. Preventative Maintenance Program
This program is designed to ensure optimal efficiency of your Prediction System. Latran will provide two full Preventative Maintenance visits per year. During the preventative maintenance all settings are checked, adjusted, lubed where necessary and cleaned. This includes the Lead Screw and Vacuum Pump. All filters will be changed. Each visit will include a written summary and checklist of all activity performed on site.
